RESEARCH ON THE DEVELOPING OF CULTURE AND TOURISM OF EIGHTEEN TOMBS OF TANG DYNASTY IN SHAANXI PROVINCE

Abstract  Eighteen tombs of Tang Dynasty in Guanzhong plain are listed as China's essential historical relic, which are of great importance in the building history of ancient emperors' tombs. They are of great research value not only in history, literature, art, politics, military affairs and economics, but also of high value in tourism industry development. Emperors' tombs of Tang Dynasty are scattered in Pucheng county, in the east of Shaanxi province, Fuping county, Sanyuan county, Jingyang county, Liquan county and Qianxian county, in the west of Shaanxi province altogether six counties, they stretch from the east to the west over 150 kilometers, which are often named by people as "Weibei eighteen tombs of Tang Dynasty" or "Guanzhong eighteen tombs of Tang Dynasty".At present, in Shaanxi province the touring region about emperors' tombs has established mainly including Qian tombs and Zhao tombs, but other tombs are not fully developed, which makes tourists fail to know the Tang culture well. Therefore, to integrate the tourism resources of eighteen tombs of Tang Dynasty and to well develop them will not only benefit the development of culture and tourism of the six counties in Guanzhong plain, but importantly, it will well inherit the culture in prosperous Tang Dynasty. This paper combines historical culture with economic development, developing tourism and culture industry on the basis of historical and cultural resources of eighteen tombs of Tang Dynasty and discussed the geographical distribution and cultural resources of Eighteen tombs of Tang Dynasty, analyzed its intellectual value, unbalanced market structure and has pointed out series of problems existed in the developing of tourism and cultural industry of Eighteen tombs of Tang Dynasty. In consideration to the existed problems, the paper has proposed that the developing of eighteen tombs of Tang Dynasty should follow long-term interest principle, find a balance between protected developing and exploit, combine developing law of industry with that of culture. In the end, the paper has proposed some specific ways in cultural industry of eighteen tombs of Tang Dynasty.
